We got a private, ‘off limits’ tour of the German Parliament on my trip to Berlin. It’s good to have ‘inside connections’!

Final day in Berlin. Going to go to the German Parliament - let's go see if we are lucky enough to run into Ms. Merkel ;)

Most of the German Parlament buildings are constructed with glass, with the theme 'transparency' (in politics) in mind

Supposedly arsonists who burnt down the Parliament building in 1933 used these air duct tunnels to escape

Take an elevator up a few floors, and we are now at the 'dome'

From the top of the Parliament building you can see the Brandenburg Gate nearby

The 'Mall of Berlin' seriously looks like Space Mountain @ Disneyland

The private tour continues - here are the relics left over by the Russian troops after WWII - graffitied wall :|

I was told the translation of these graffities are not 'children friendly'

The final building we walked through is my favorite...

It had soooo many glass windows and ceilings, I felt like I was in the movie Inception :)
