Welcome to lewislau.com. Many years ago I started this site as schlaulau.com (a nickname my German friends gave me), but I lucked out when the original owners of lewislau.com forgot to pay their dues on time… so here we are.
A few years back I used to travel a lot for work, so much that occasionally flight attendants recognize me when I boarded. So I went out and bought a digital camera. Whenever I have time, I will wander around (like an Asian tourist) and snap photographs like my life depends on it 😉
Before the days of Friendster, Myspace, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, my friends and family would come here to check out my posts of places I’ve visited for work and fun, interesting food I’ve ingested, and my occasional rant about life in general.
As I have a love-hate relationship with social media (with its exploitation of my posts to make money for themselves) I find myself always coming back to my own site as an outlet to document my experiences…
