Going to go to the German Parliament - let's go see if we are lucky enough to run into Ms. Merkel 😉 Special guest pass for the Parliament visit. It's nice to have C O N N E C T I O N S 🙂 David, our private tour guide for this morning Most of the German Parlament buildings are constructed with glass, with the theme 'transparency' (in politics) in mind Art installation #1 Art installation #2 Supposedly arsonists who burnt down the Parliament building in 1933 used these air duct tunnels to escape German Parlament, circa 193x Art installation #3, boxes of all the representatives The black label means that they were killed during the Socialist revolution in the late 1930s 'The observation floor' From this area you can watch the Parliamentary 'actions' from above WHOA! The CDU meeting room Take an elevator up a few floors, and we are now at the 'dome' From the top of the Parliament building you can see the Brandenburg Gate nearby The 'Mall of Berlin' seriously looks like Space Mountain @ Disneyland Let's enter The Dome! I feel like I am in a scene of The Transformers 🙂 At the top of The Dome The private tour continues - here are the relics left over by the Russian troops after WWII - graffitied wall 😐 I was told the translation of these graffities are not 'children friendly' I knocked. Angela didn't answer. The final building we walked through is my favorite...
