Japan Trip 2006. Sapporo, Japan February 7, 2006 Posted in Uncategorized Japanese in car GPS Driving to Sapporo Stopped for spicy ramen! Arrived in Sapporo and walked around the ice sculpture displays on the street Artists still sculpting away, by hand… and with chainsaws Next day, Sapporo Snow Festival This is the biggest ice sculpture (the other ones are packed snow sculptures) I’ve seen so far! One of my favorite street food – roasted yams! What is this? A place for people to soak their feet in hot water – can’t they do this at home? Some cartoon character walking the festival Hiro was so excited he gave him/her a huge hug This sculpture is almost as tall as a real building! Chinese snow sculptures Snow sculptures of famous sights in Taiwan The Japanese love to create art of food – these are bread filled with peanut cream, then sugar-coated… Walking to dinner, typical Japanese street sight People lining up to eat at this restaurant – it must be good! Our sushi dinner!
