Let’s go check out the local sights: Penang Bukit Bendera (tallest spot in Penang), offering a overhead view of the city Taking the tram to the peak We’re here! Yup – pretty high up! Slightly jet-lagged What the heck is this…? ‘first class’. Yeah right 😉 Yup – we’re in the tropics A local temple Old canon to defend the coast Circa 1939 On the way down Traveling slow, but quite steep! Next stop: Giant Guan In (Buddhist Goddess of Mercy) statue Guard #1 Guard #2 Driving back to Kuala Lumpur Weather is great, but in my jet-laggedness I fell asleep on and off while Marcus drove… Rest stop – let’s get something to eat 🙂 local food stall I’ll have one of everything! 🙂 The weather changed INSTANTLY – storm clouds ahead It went from cloudy… To rain… To FULL ON rain storm – visibility almost ZERO!
