A Day At The Met. New York, New York

Visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City – this is the second time I have been there – first time was about 7-8 years ago while I lived in Rochester, NY… Thanks to Lou for inviting me on this trip with his family…

On the way to the Met. A strange van in front of us has an encrypted web site…

We picked the perfect day to go across town – people were protesting while the World Trade Organization was holding a meeting in NYC… stuck in traffic.
Stop Capitalism! Stop the exploitation of third world countries! Okay then who will make the Nike running shoes, REI backpack, and Patagonia sweatshirt you are wearing to the protest…?

Finally arrived at the Met
We started the tour around the Egyptian display

Picture of a monkey whipping a pig… maybe PETA should step in and protest against the involuntary submission of these poor pigs by these evil monkeys!
Walking around, looking at paintings of Egyptians… and I noticed

Lauren and Anthony obviously ignoring my speculation that some black hole will soon open and bring us back in time to scrub Cleopatra’s back, and Caesar’s behinds…

Does this mean the person inside was mummified standing up? That would be the world record for standing upright for the longest time… 800 years!
