201001_CESLasVegas August 3, 2022 P1010103I was the +1 at one of Tom's "investment dinners" at Caesars Palace prior to CES 2010 Inside Caesars Palace, this restaurant caught my eye - Beijing Noodle No. 9 - beautiful, but not so nice for the fish PETA will not be too happy to see this - or are fish not on their radar? After dinner, hanging out at Hard Rock Hotel casino floor Yes this is right on the casino betting area Next morning, bright and early we got into CES. The popular item this year are 3D televisions... P1010115 (1) after gambling Tom's friends were all tired (from jet lag) so I drove them all back to their hotels... very distracting... unlike all the big spenders I just played slots for a few minutes... made $40 or so. Went through a demo of the boxee system. This little box collects all kinds of media off the internet for your TV The LG booth was quite cool... Not sure if people will enjoy watching ALL their movies with these on... (But can't I already do that with my PS3/XBox/Computer)...? SUPER DUPER thin television Thinner than my phone! Checked out the Panasonic booth for any 3D gadgets for Julia's dad What the movie looks like without glasses Yup - 3D galore Of course, every booth tried to show off their gear with Avatar 3D video camera! Too pricey for consumer use, though... ($25000) Samsung booth didnt need any light - it was lit with all their televisions! The show floor
