Woke up quite early, all excited to see mom after about 7 months of not seeing her… The hotel view from my room.

A beautiful tree outside the hotel. Supposedly trees are pretty rare on the island of Okinawa, since the bombing of the island during WWII pratically wiped out all greens on the island…
Mr. Arakawa and I got a quick tour of the island, led my Mr. Shimabukuro of Kimoto’s Okinawa branch. Dieter decides to stay in the hotel room for a short nap

We got to see two different beaches… due to the stormy weather a few days earlier it was quite windy and the ocean didn’t look as clear as it should be.

I call this photo “Tosh and the ocean”.
I really am not that fat – it’s the wind that made my belly look three times as large… I swear!
We then drove to the airport to pick mom up. Mr. Lin from Taiwan Instruments accompanied her on the 45 minute trip from Taipei. Mom was on flight Japan Asia Airlines flight number EG292

From this point on I am going to keep captions to a minimum, as I do not wish to make light of the experience I had with her during this trip. It is of great importance to me today and the rest of my life that I got to spend these two short days with her…
