No matter how many times people tell me that it is &#8220;not that cold&#8221;, I just don&#8217;t think my body is able to adjust to the cold like before (when I lived here). Last night while walking back to my hotel from the office (~9 blocks) I saw girls walking around wearing what people would wear in the summer&#8230; in Los Angeles! All the while I had a shirt, sweater, jacket, coat&#8230; and a scarf. Let&#8217;s see how I am going to adapt in Alaska in two weeks &#8211; just in case if&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mount_Redoubt_(Alaska)\">Mount Redoubt<\/a>&nbsp;blows I am bringing a few&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.redcross.org\/portal\/site\/en\/menuitem.86f46a12f382290517a8f210b80f78a0\/?vgnextoid=49105d795323b110VgnVCM10000089f0870aRCRD&amp;vgnextfmt=default\">basic necessities<\/a>&nbsp;per FEMA&#8217;s recommendations: respiratory masks, google&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the end of my business trip in Minneapolis.
