That&#8217;s swelling and edema (liquid) between my knee cap. That&#8217;s what happens when you run all your life. So on doctor&#8217;s orders I should 1) rest my legs for another 6 weeks (total of 3 months), and 2) find a new low-impact sport\/hobby soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What to do when it is beautiful and sunny in L.A.? I&#8217;m going to sign up for&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.surfingschool.com\/\">surf lessons<\/a>. Yup &#8211; I am going to overcome my fear of shark attacks (damn you&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jaws_%28film%29\">Stephen Spielberg<\/a>!) while sitting on my board.
