Towards the end of January I had the chance to visit Japan with my brother Philip. It was a holiday simply to get away from all the worries in the past few months, as well as a chance to see each other after two years apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passing of our mother made me want to weave a better web amongst us brothers, Philip, Kevin, and I, simply because the original bond, my mother, isn\u2019t here anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sure mom would want us to stick together, through good and bad times as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this trip, Philip and I travelled through Kyoto, Osaka, Shusenji (in Izu), and Tokyo. These are the pictures that describe our fun times during this two-week trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three hours later, dinner time. We all decide to go to a local Izaka-Ya, or “drinking place” to have dinner and beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our dinner party got even bigger:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philip, Jamie, Tako, Hiro, Chieko, Maya (whom I have met once before in Minneapolis), and her friend Andy…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After three or four beers, Hiro was getting just a little bit tipsy…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

That evening… another friend from R.I.T who is working in Kyoto stopped at the hotel… Taizo Nomura.

Ever since college I had a feeling that Taizo would SOMEDAY settle down and have a family, even though he contantly said that he would just find a women who would do everything for him…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now he has a beautiful wife and an adorable daughter…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There you go, Junko Nomura and Suzu Nomura, the two women who rules Taizo’s life these days, aside from the cruel hours at work…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Oh did I forget to mention that TAIZO IS BLIND…?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

… AND DEAF…?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Suddenly he opened his eyes, and saw the world for the very first time… the light was blinding at first, but soon he adjusted, and proclaimed, “I am Taizo, and not blind or deaf anymore!”

It’s all just a joke – no Taizo is neigther blind nor deaf…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
