Space Shuttle Shots.

October 10 - 11, 2000.
Tampa, Florida.

Flew in to Tampa for a two-day ORIS ColorTuner training. Started off with nothing worthy of schlaulau travelogue, but ended up with some of the most amazing pictures I have taken so far...

The trip started off like one of those oridinary business trips... got off the plane, went straight to work... got off work, went to dinner, and back to my hotel. Not much of anything worthy of a special section in schlaulau...

The picture on the left is the great view from the restaurant I had dinner at... Landry's - excellent seafood gumbo!

Going home! Pictures from the airplane

Some images were taken with my 32-shot wind-up mechanical camera... (disclaimer: no electronics to affect navigation system!) The rest were taken with my Nikon CoolPix 800...

Once we reached the right altitude, I plugged in my CD player, and started playing a CD... while adjusting my headphones I overheard the captain mention something about looking out the right window... I looked out and got a chance to take the most wonderful pictures I have taken so far...
Just when you thought these pictures were nothing special...

The red dot on the right hand side?

The Space Shuttle Discovery!

My friend Bill was scheduled last week to watch the take-off, but that launch was cancelled... this section of the schlaulau travelogue is dedicated to him.
