Hello From San Francisco

Spent the night in San Francisco and heading home tonight. Last night while waiting for my friend Danny to pick me up for dinner I decided to venture above Macy's downtown and did a 2 1/2 hour time lapse of Union Square... still perfecting the art of creating a good timelapse that balances between the amount of day vs. night in my light-to-dark transition videos... Enjoy!

My first major fail of a timelapse. Took four hours of pictures only to find out at later that my camera had a focus problem at certain zoom levels. Will definitely attempt this again, as this spot is absolutely PERFECT for a timelapse.

These following variables didn't help:

- underdressed
- underprepared (no more spontaneous hike/shoots from now on). Next time I need:
   Thick(er) Sweater and Gloves
   Portable Chair
Better Tripod (pretty windy for my tabletop tripod!)
   Fully Charged Cell Phone
   Working Camera

Another timelapse video I did this past week while in Albuquerque, New Mexico...

Tilt Shift Video: Sundown in L.A.

Tiltshift timelapse video of Griffith Observatory at sundown. Approximately 3 hours of shots at 10 second intervals.

Traveling in New Mexico this week for business. It is quite nice down here - the weather is beautiful, and the folks are nice. Unfortunately my rental car from Budget is a piece of junk (messed up wheels/springs - car can't go straight without effort and the loud squeaking noise), and the people here can't drive :(

Maybe I should head back again during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta later this year - now that would be a awesome timelapse to do!
