A few weeks ago while visiting Anchorage, Alaska, I discovered a new feature on my camera (long exposure) that allows me to take pictures of the night sky - this has been something that I had wanted to do ever since my first dorm room poster, a Sierra Club image of Star Trails... once in a while I get to travel to some cities that show the most amazing star displays at night - and I now have a way to capture that with my digital camera! Sometime in the next year I might upgrade my camera to get even better night pictures :)

In the meantime I also took some panorama pictures of the beautiful landscapes of Alaska:
