Catching up with my travelogue photo posts

I have been complaining that I simply got too lazy and have a 3-year backlog of photos from my travels which I haven't posted, and desperately need a tool to catch up on updating my web site. My friend Danny recommended I test out Adobe Lightroom, and I must say - IT KICKS A##!

So far I have (almost) caught up to completing travel pictures from the year 2004 (I have a backlog record similar to that of INS' green-card processing, really). Check out some of the photos from my travelogue page if you have time - the "new" look is Flash-based (example gallery here), so make sure you have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed. Enjoy!

Wanted Dead Or Alive

Well... we had to wait 17 years for the reunion of my friends Danny and Joe to repeat their performance at HKIS Coffee House 1990, where they belted out an acoustic rendition of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive". The occasion that got them together, and us as audience - our friend Jesse and Melissa's Wedding in New York City. With the after-party at a Karaoke bar, the setup is complete. Check out the video by clicking on the link above (sorry for the poor lighting/quality)!

NYC Weekend

Was in Manhattan and Long Island for the weekend for my friend Jesse's Wedding. Interesting story on the flight to New York - while finding my seat to New York I saw an old couple who did not speak English at all, where the wife was yelling at the flight attendant in Chinese. They were being split up in their seating arrangements - "My husband is ill, and he needs to sit next to me!", she kept yelling. All who were around us (some I knew where Chinese but refused to help) just ignored her while the flight attendant looked helpless. I offered to translate and explained the situation, and the couple got to sit together... +1 karma point for me...

Took a dinner cruise sponsored by CGS (a not-so-surprise party for the Prez). More pictures found here
